SCTDA targets the educational sector

In a recent development which is In line with Marhabtain initiative, training programme targeted at senior executives in Sharjah’s hotel and tourism sector, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) has developed an educational bus tour for Al Qasimia University students.
This is part of its efforts to strengthen collaborative efforts with educational institutions to enhance Sharjah as an attractive tourism destination.
Organised as SCTDA’s first community development programme, the tour involved visits to the emirate’s heritage locations and museums. The tour also offers students opportunities to develop social skills and critical thinking abilities.
“SCTDA has been implementing various initiatives to ensure sustainable growth of Sharjah’s tourism sector and develop economic, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the emirate. The educational bus tour for students highlights the Authority’s keen interest to create opportunities for youth,” said HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, chairman of SCTDA.
SCTDA is aiming to offer students in Sharjah opportunities at local and international levels to create human resources capital in the tourism and hospitality sector.
