SeaDream Yacht Club has announced its 2013 Amazon and Asia voyages which will both be taking place onboard the SeaDream II.
The 112-guest vessel – which boasts 95-crew – was rated by the Berlitz Guide, along with its sister-ship SeaDream I, as being part of the best boutique cruise line in the world.
The two itineraries will see the ship cruise the entire navigable length of the Amazon in February and March, and 18 separate voyages in Asia for the ship’s maiden season in the continent.
“SeaDream II’s maiden Amazon River programme this spring proved extremely popular prompting us to return in 2013 – in fact, the 2013 schedule has been enhanced to feature more voyage selections, from seven to 20 nights long, including two unique, week-long round-trip departures from Iquitos, Peru exploring the waterways, people, flora and fauna of the unspoiled Upper-Amazon,” said Ian Buckeridge, SeaDream’s director of marketing and corporate sales.
“SeaDream II is the only luxury ocean going vessel to sail in the Upper-Amazon, where calls will include Leticia and Monkey Island, Colombia; Panelas, Jutai, Santo Antonio do Ica and Amatura, Brazil; and Pebas, Peru.”
For its Asia programme the ship will depart from Greece on 12 October 2013 on a ‘Passage to the Far East’ tour, including a cruise down the Suez Canal, tours across Egypt, heading to Mumbai, India. From India the ship will head to Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore respectively. The vessel will then call at every coastal country in South East Asia as well as Northern Australia for a total of 18 months.
The Asia tours range from seven to 15 nights.
