Self-service for Finnair’s Easter departures

Finnair has recommended that its customers use its text message and internet check-in services over Easter.Online check-in can be done on the day before the flight for all Finnair and Finncomm Airlines at www.finnair.fi. Exceptions are flights from Bergen, Geneva, Ekaterinburg, Kiev, Ljubljana, Moscow and St. Petersburg, where passengers should check in at the airport.Finnair Plus members can confirm check-in by text message for flights from Finland, Amsterdam, Brussels, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Manchester, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Riga, Stockholm, Warsaw or Vilnus. The service can be activated on the internet or by contacting the Finnair Plus service centre. The message is sent for morning flights between 1700 and 1900 on the evening before and for flights departing in the afternoon around three hours before departure. Check-in machines are available in airports and families can book in easier by one member visiting the airport the night before a flight to check in luggage. Finnair will also automatically send information about possible traffic disruptions or baggage delays, when given a mobile phone number.
