As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community knowledge, Sharjah Museums Department (SMD) is continuing its Family Amusement Day and Adult programme throughout June 2013.
Eight free educational, social and cultural workshops have been announced offering participants an overview on how vintage cars work, information on jellyfish, creating pottery and much more. The workshops will take place from 1-29 June at the Sharjah Archaeology Museum, Sharjah Classic Cars Museum, Sharjah Heritage Museum, Sharjah Art Museum, Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization and Sharjah Aquarium.
Covering Islamic art, traditional crafts, archaeology, heritage, marine life and vintage cars, the workshops provide an opportunity to learn more about Sharjah Museums’ extensive collections through gallery talks, discussions and hand-on activities.
The programme includes two parts family amusement and adult programmes, with both types of workshops designed to showcase Sharjah’s diverse history.
