Shenzhen airport expands city check-in
Other locations already offering this service are in Huizhou, Hong Kong and Macau, Xinhua news agency said.
At city check-in locations, passengers can buy tickets and check baggage, then travel by bus to board their flights at Shenzhen airport. Shenzhen airport started check-in services in other cities this April.
Baiyun airport in Guangzhou, Guangdong’s capital, was the first domestic carrier in China to offer city check-in services when it opened a facility in Dongguan in 2005. It currently offers at least seven off-site check-in services, including one in Shenzhen.
Airports in some other Chinese cities, such as Dalian, Nanjing and Zhengzhou, have also started city check-in services.
