Shurooq’s showcase at WTM

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has showcased its latest project at the on-going World Travel Market.
Operating under Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority’s (SCTDA) pavilion, Shurooq will highlight developments at Al Noor Island, the Arab World’s first island to combine nature, art and entertainment and Mleiha Archaeological and eco-tourism project.
The authority will also promote the Al Montazah, Sharjah’s first amusement and Water Park.
Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, chief operating officer of Shurooq said: “The UAE continues to be one of the British nationals’ favourite holiday destinations, making UK the second most important source market for tourism last year. Our aim is to introduce British and European tour operators to diverse array of family-friendly attractions Sharjah such as Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Montazah and Heart of Sharjah.”
The Al Noor Island hosts the Butterfly House, which hosts as many as 500 exotic butterflies from East Asian countries, and Literature Pavilion for intellectuals and book lovers.
