SIA boosts Singapore-Jakarta route

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will increase capacity on the Singapore-Jakarta with the introduction of an eighth daily service from 15 September 2011. The extra daily flight will be operated using a three-class, 288-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft, departing Changi airport at 0645, arriving in the Indonesian capital’s Soekharno-Hatta airport at 0730. The return flight leaves Jakarta at 0825, arriving back into Singapore at 1100.
With the additional daily flight, SIA will operate a total of 77 weekly flights to Indonesia – 56 to Jakarta and 21 to Bali. SilkAir also operates 53 flights per week to eight points in Indonesia.
