Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will increase the fuel surcharge on all their flights from March 26.
The surcharge on routes to Southeast Asian countries has been raised to US$30 per flight from US$26. On flights to the U.S. and Canada, the levy will increase to US$130 from US$123. The fuel charge for all other flights will rise to US$80 from US$75.
“The adjustments will offer only partial relief of higher operating costs arising from increases in the price of jet fuel,” the statement said.
The airline last raised its fuel surcharge in December.
