SIA to fly A380 to Beijing

Singapore Airlines will start flying its Airbus A380 to Beijing this summer.
Commencing on 1 August 2014, the new daily service will replace two flights currently operated by smaller aircraft, with the total flight frequency being adjusted to three services per day.
Flight SQ802 will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport at 0830, arriving at Beijing’s Capital International Airport at 1440. The return leg, flight SQ807, with then leave the Chinese capital at 1635, arriving back in Singapore at 2255.
The A380 will utilise on the Beijing route has a capacity of 471 passengers, with 12 seats in first class, 60 in business class and 399 in economy.
SIA currently operates a fleet of 19 A380s, making it the second largest operator of the aircraft in the world. It also has five more on order.
Beijing will become third Chinese city served using SIA’s A380s, following Shanghai and Hong Kong. Other A380 destinations include Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mumbai, New Delhi, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo and Zurich.
