Traffic police in China who pulled over a car has a shock when they found a fully-grown Siberian tiger in the boot. According to Orange News, police in Hubei province pulled over the four-wheel drive vehicle after a hit-and-run incident.
“There was a strong stench coming from the boot so we opened it found something wrapped in a large canvas,” Officer Chen Yin was quoted saying. “We unwrapped it and found a giant tiger sitting in a cage. We don’t know why the man had it or where he was taking it but he didn’t have any papers for it.”
The man has now been charged with motoring and wild animal offences.
