Silversea introduces privilege programme

The Silver Cloud in Vietnam

Ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea has announced that it will be launching its new ‘Silver Privilege’ programme on all 2013 and 2014 cruises, effective as of today (1 November).

The premise behind the scheme is to make the process of buying a suite easier, by offering one simple fare. The programme will reward those who book early by allowing them to choose their desired suite and give them the best possible fare available.

Guests will also be given the opportunity to customise their package by adding air fare, transfers and hotel and land programmes to their itineraries. However, they will have complete freedom over the aspects they wish to incorporate into their package.

The line is also going to introduce a ‘Fare Guarantee Programme’ which will ensure that guests who book early will receive the best price however, if Silversea does adjust its Silver Privilege price then those who have booked early will be given the difference in onboard credit, room upgrade or fare reduction.

The Fare Guarantee Programme will be valid for all voyages departing on or after June 1, 2013, effective for new Silver Privilege bookings made on or after November 1, 2012.

“By offering one simple price with our new Silver Privilege fares, we’re making it easier for consumers to cut through the clutter that’s in the marketplace and understand the actual price of the components of their holiday,” said Mike Bonner, general manager of Silversea UK, Ireland & Middle East. “Additionally, when these new fares are enhanced by our Fare Guarantee Programme, our guests can plan their holidays far in advance, taking advantage of the best suite availability, and also enjoy the peace of mind in knowing they will be protected should those fares be reduced.”
