Silversea unveils new luxury liner

Silversea has unveiled new images taken during the sea trials of the newest member of its feet, the super-luxury 540-guest Silver Spirit – set to make its debut on 23 December 2009. More images and details of the ship’s progress can be found on the Silver Spirit blog – www.silverspiritblog.com.
Steve Odell, Silversea’s senior vice-president Asia Pacific, commented: “The upcoming debut of Silver Spirit is generating a lot of buzz and she is looking spectacular. As we get closer to the launch date, we are seeing much demand from both regular guests and newcomers to Silversea for the ship’s maiden voyages.”
As well as her 91 day Grand Inaugural “Spirit of South America” voyage from Fort Lauderdale to New York departing 21 January 2010, Silver Spirit will be positioned in the Mediterranean from May to October 2010, offering an enticing range of 7 day combinable, non repeated itineraries.
Silver Spirit will be the sixth and largest member of the Silversea fleet. The 36,000-ton vessel will retain the intimate, all-inclusive feel of all Silversea ships, while offering the largest suites in the fleet – 95 per cent with private veranda – and one of the highest space-to-guest ratios at sea today, 67, providing 6,700 cubic feet of space per guest.
