Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Spanair have signed a codeshare agreement to ease connections between Barcelona’s El Prat Airport and domestic airports. From 17 May Singapore Airlines customers will be able to fly to Madrid, Palma Mallorca and Bilbao from Barcelona from a selection of flights. SIA codes will be used for the daily Singapore-Barcelona operations. “The codeshare arrangements with our Star Alliance partner Spanair will improve connectivity between Singapore and another three important cities in Spain,” said Singapore Airlines Executive Vice President Marketing & the Regions Huang Cheng Eng. Passengers will be able to take advantage of premium benefits such as VIP lounges.
