Six Chinese airlines have lowered fuel surcharges on domestic flights from CNY50 to CNY40 (US$7.31 to US$5.85) for routes in excess of 800km. The Shanghai Daily reported that Air China, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Deer Air and Grand China Air have reduced the surcharge level after the country’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) reduced jet fuel costs last week. The fee will remain at CNY20 for routes less than 800km.
