SkyWork adds more London connections
Switzerland-based SkyWork Airlines has added four new European connections from London City Airport.
Effective immediately, UK passengers will be able to fly from the East London hub to the Serbian capital Belgrade, the Croatian port cities of Split and Rijeka, and the Greek hub of Thessaloniki. All services will operate via SkyWork’s home base at Bern airport in Switzerland.
In total, SkyWork will offer eight weekly return flights on the new routes – three to Belgrade, two each to Split and Thessaloniki and one to Rijeka.
“[These] four new destinations… open up a wide range of travel possibilities for both business and leisure. Passengers connecting in Bern can avoid the inconvenience and stress of major airports and rest assured that their baggage will be checked through to their final destination,” said Tomislav Lang, CEO of SkyWork.
In addition SkyWork has launched a new city shuttle service in Bern. The SkyWork Airport Shuttle offers direct access from Bern Airport to the centre of the Swiss capital. Operated in cooperation with the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern and Hotel Allegro Bern, passengers can also access return shuttle services from both hotels to the airport.
“We applaud the direct shuttle service to Bern city centre and these new connections offer passengers even more travel choices when flying from London City Airport. The four new destinations mean a wider range of destinations available to passengers travelling from the capital,” commented Matthew Hall, Chief Commercial Officer at London City Airport.
SkyWork recently announced plans to increase the frequency of its London City-Bern flights to three times a day, Monday to Friday, from 28 October.
