Snow sculptures recycled for Sapporo park

An estimated 500,000kg of snow used to make one of the biggest sculptures at the recent Sapporo Snow Festival has been recycled to create a new snow park in the northern Japanese city. Kyodo News reported that the Odori Park now features skiing and sledging slopes made from the reused snow. The festival ended on 13 February having attracted more than 2.4 million visitors.
