Sofitel to manage premium property in Jeddah

Representatives of Al Tamiuz Hotels & Resorts, the diversified Saudi company owned and managed by the Al Harith family has appointed Sofitel Hotels. The hotel chain will manage a five-star property in Jeddah.
The signing of a management contract for the Sofitel hotel in Jeddah was attended by Accor’s Middle East Management and Robert Gaymer-Jones, chief executive officer of Sofitel worldwide.
The five-star property is planned for opening in 2014 and will target international business clientele, and secondary targets such as the MICE and domestic leisure guests. The hotel will have 189 rooms and suites. The additional facilities will include six food and beverage outlets, meeting facilities with pre-function and lounge areas, two swimming pools, a health club, a spa and a squash court, a cinema hall, a kids’ corner.
This new project is an additional development step for Sofitel in the GCC market with eight properties.
