The Jabal Amman Residents Association (JARA) announced that Souk Jara 2012 officially opened until the end of summer. The community market will welcome guests every Friday at Jabal Amman.
Souk Jara offers a variety of family-oriented activities including games for kids, treats, musical concerts and films and plenty of good deals on handcrafts, antiquities and home-made items.
Khader Qawwas, vice president and acting president of JARA, said: “Souk Jara is all about the community and that helps explain the variety in the stands. We take great pride in knowing that this event provides local charities, local bands and artists, men and women who work from home and owners of small and simple businesses the platform to present and promote their products to a large customer base.”
In addition to Souk Jara, the association also organizes several projects to serve Jabal Amman such as Jabal Amman Geographical Center, Jabal Amman History Book project, in addition to cooperating with development associations such as Tamweelkom to provide job opportunities for underprivileged residents of Jabal Amman.
