South African Tourism announces September roadshow
South African Tourism has announced the dates for its second road show in India.
The September road show will be held across four cities, beginning on 3 September in Mumbai, then travelling to Ahmedabad on 4 September, New Delhi on 5 September, and concluding in Kolkata on 6 September.
The February road show held earlier this year, reiterated South African Tourism’s commitment to the Indian market by extending the roadshow to five cities which was a huge success with 62 suppliers and 135 South African representatives participating in it.
The roadshows are free to travel agents and South African Tourism will continue to look for avenues to increase tourist arrivals to the country.
Commenting on the announcement, Hanneli Slabber, Country Head of South African Tourism India, said; “The popularity of South Africa as a preferred destination can be gauged through the warm response we receive from the Indian trade annually. Our recent March arrival figures firm up our belief in this market”.
Indian tourist arrivals to South Africa in March 2012 saw a jump of close to 34.5%. According to the latest figures South Africa has received 21,139 Indians between Jan 2012 – March 2012 which is a jump of 23.1% when compared to the same period last year.
