South Korea has said it will stop using pictures of North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il as a target on army firing ranges. The decision was taken after pictures of North Korea’s ‘Dear Leader’, his youngest son, Kim Jong-un and his father, Kim Il-sung emerged in local media as being used as targets in South Korean military installations. Military commanders have reportedly admitted to using the pictures for target practice, in an effort to “boost battle spirit” among the troops. The government has now ordered them to stop the practice.
