SpiceJet is optimistic that it will achieve an 80% load factor on international flights within the first month and will breakeven on international operations within two months of launching. The airline, which began international flights between Delhi and Kathmandu on Thursday, believes that its low fares will help it compete with the five other airlines operating on the route. Speaking to DNA, Chief Commercial Officer Samyukth Sridharan said; “”Being a low-cost carrier, we will remain focused on providing the best prices to customers. We have offered tickets at nearly half the existing price on Kathmandu and Colombo.” As of this month, the LCC is operating two international routes from India to Kathmandu and Colombo.
