AirAsia said its passenger load for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore route
peaked at over 85% last month. According to a TODAY report, 63% of the passengers travelled for business, while the rest travelled for leisure. Singaporeans accounted for 41% of the passengers. The strong demand should
continue, as the bookings for March and April are already over the 50%
mark, AirAsia was quoted saying.
The route, previously open only to SIA and Malaysia Airlines, was liberalised to include AirAsia, Jetstar Asia and Tiger Airways.
