Sri Lanka plans to start an international call centre which will provide assistance and information to tourists, chairman of the country’s tourism development authority Nalaka Godahewa has said.”We will call for proposals from local firms in two to three weeks,” Godahewa was quoted saying in Lanka Business Online.”A call centre like this could perhaps be self-financed with advertisements.”Sri Lanka Tourist Development Authority was already testing a system with Mobitel, a mobile firm to give site information, he was quoted saying.
