The St Regis Bangkok has launched a new sustainable meetings option for clients wishing to host their meeting or event in a more eco-friendly manner.
Following Starwood’s Sustainable Meeting Practices, the luxury hotel has devised a series of ways to make events more environmentally sound, including paperless meeting planning, use of environmentally-friendly transport and recycled and non-paper meeting tools.
Organisers can also monitor their event’s environmental credentials with a series of Impact Assessment Tools, while the hotel will also recommend a carbon offsetting programme to meeting attendees who want to support conservation projects.
“Sustainability is a growing focus for us,” said the hotel’s GM, Krister Svensson. “We believe in adopting an integrated approach that resonates through our daily operating procedures, our partnerships within the local community and in our offerings to our customers and guests.”
In addition to the meeting tools, St Regis Bangkok will also offer green F&B options, with sustainable menu items using locally-sourced produce and environmentally-friendly packaging.
