St. Vincent and The Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVG) has launched a competition on its Facebook page. The tourism board is encouraging agents to visit the page and enter to be in with the chance of winning in iPad. The page has been launched to create discussion about the destination, as well as the different types of holidays on offer and videos to show what the islands are like. “This is an important move for us to ensure we’re at the forefront of destination marketing in the region. Visitors and those who actively promote and sell holidays to St. Vincent and The Grenadines naturally feel part of our community and by using social media platforms effectively we engage with them before, during and after their visit,” said Glen Beache, CEO of SVG. “We’re encouraging everyone within that community, whether you’ve just come back from a FAM trip or had clients who’ve had a great holiday to post video footage , photographs, leave comments, become fans of our Facebook page and use Twitter to share their experiences”. In addition, those who tweet an image of a branded SVG taxi can be in with the chance of winning a bottle of Sunset Rum.
