The move will see an updated system for STA retail consultants with customised services and XML, third-party suppliers. The upgrade with travel technology company Dolphin Dynamics also means STA’s website has been updated with new supplier links and booking capabilities, with consultants able to be ‘self-sufficient’ with booking, validation and cancellation support.
“STA Travel has a longstanding and productive relationship with Dolphin Dynamics, having used the Dolphin back-office since 2006. Whilst there was a significant amount of development required for the reservation module to meet all of STA Travel’s needs these were delivered to agreed timescales and the software is live across the retail network,” said Andy Mills, director at STA Travel. “Additionally the web services integration into the STA Travel global booking engine has also launched in selected territories”.
