SUE POWERS has been announced as Chief Executive Officer Travelport GDS’ recently created business unit, IT Services & Software by Travelport (ITS&S). Prior to her new appointment, Ms Powers served as Travelport’s Chief Information Officer, overseeing product and application development for the Galileo, Worldspan and Apollo GDS’ and associated airline services.
GRANT JAMES has been appointed to head up Outrigger Hotels & Resorts’ Australian operations as Regional General Manager. James has spent the last two years working in Hawaii overseeing the management of the 1,150-room Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, which is an affiliate property of Outrigger Enterprises Group.
MONA FOO has been appointed Manager - Corporate Sales, Travel & Trade Support for Royal Caribbean Cruises (Asia) Pte Ltd. Ms Foo brings 16 years of travel trade experience to the role, 11 of which were spent with Star Cruises, where she headed-up its corporate sales division and spearheaded its marketing initiatives.
IDA BAGUS KADE SUBHIKSU has been appointed Chief of Bali Tourist Authority. Subhikdu, who was previously Chief of Protocol for the Bali Governor, replaces I Gede Nurjaya, as part of a routine replacement of the heads of provincial government departments. Source: www.balidiscovery.com.
DAMON PAGE has been appointed as the General Manager of the Westin Bund Center Shanghai. Australian national Page has worked with Starwood for 13 years, holding positions in China, Russia, Poland, Malaysia, the Maldives and Hong Kong, prior to his appointment in Shanghai.
NANCY KINCHELA has been announced as the new Executive Chef for The Restaurant at The Club at The Saujana, Malaysia. With 18 years of culinary experience and multiple international awards, Ms Kinchela’s career has taken her to some of the world’s most prestigious kitchens in the US, UK, UAE and India.
TAKAO MATSUSHITA has been announced as the new Japanese Sales Director for The Club at The Saujana and The Saujana, Kuala Lumpur. Born and educated in Tokyo, Matsushita has spent over 15 years of his hotel career in Thailand and Hong Kong working with the Peninsula Group, Mandarin Oriental and Imperial Hotels Group before moving to Kuala Lumpur.
JERRY MIRANDA has been appointed Director of Finance for the new Hotel H2O, Manila. Miranda has a career spanning 15 years in hotel finance, and prior to joining China Oceanis Philippines, he held the position of Financial Controller at the Ascott Makati.
CHRISTOPHER JOHN LEGASPI has also joined the Hotel H2O, as Director of Sales and Marketing. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Legaspi has held positions Thailand and the Philippines, with international brands such as Le Meridien, Oakwood, Hyatt and Conrad.
WORAYOS SUNARTPHONG has been appointed Ginja Cook Chef at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa’s Ginja Cook Cooking School. A graduate of the Dusit Thani College, Ms Worayos previously worked at the Banyan Tree Phuket’s Tre restaurant as Demi Chef.
MIKE KIRSTNER has been announced as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for Pegasus Solutions. Kirstner, who is currently President & CEO of Pegasus Solutions, joined the company as Senior Vice President of Operations & Service Delivery in 2005.
