CHRISTOPHE LORVO has been named the new General Manager of Grand Hyatt Tokyo. A veteran of the hospitality industry, Lorvo has been employed with Hyatt International since 1992, holding positions in France, Guam and the UK. He has held the position of GM of Palacio Duhau-Park Hyatt Buenos Aires since 2004.
TIM RUSSELL has been appointed Managing Director of Amadeus UK & Ireland. Russell previously held the same position with Amadeus Australian & New Zealand, and will remain in this position until a successor is appointed. As MD for Amadeus Australia and NZ based in Sydney, Russell grew market share significantly in Australia.
NARAWAT KHAMSAI has been announced as the new Chief Financial Officer at PATA. Nora, as she is known, joins the Association from a Bangkok-based architecture and design company. Her accountancy experience also embraces the tourism sector in Thailand, including the Minor Group.
DR ANURAG JAIN has been announced as SpiceJet’s new General Manager for Revenue Optimization. Dr Jain brings with him over 10 years of experience in aviation & petrochemical industries. He has earlier worked with Kingfisher Airlines and Deccan Aviation.
HANNO STAMM has been appointed General Manager of the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa. With almost 20 years experience with hotel groups such as Accor and Radisson, the German national joined Victoria Hotels & Resorts in July 2002 as Rooms Division Manager of Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa.
RONAN BIANCHI has taken over as General Manager at the Victoria Phan Thiet Resort & Spa. He was appointed General Manager of Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa in August 2005 at only 31 years old, the youngest General Manager of the group. Prior to this position, Ronan was Manager of the Victoria Express Train in January 2004.
RAYMOND MARCEL ZUEST will be appointed General Manager of the Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa. Swiss national Zuest had worked in Thailand with Anantara and Amari, before becoming Victoria Can Tho Resort’s General Manager in 2007.
VO XUAN has been promoted to the position of General Manager of the Victoria Can Tho Resort & Spa. A Vietnamese national, Ms Vo has held the position of Rooms Division Manager since 2004. The 33 year-old joined the group in 2001 as an Assistant Front Office Manager.
ROY CORDEIRO has been announced as the new Director of Sales & Marketing for The Wyland Waikiki, which is being rebranded a Courtyard by Marriott this summer. Cordeiro, an industry veteran of over thirty years and has held senior positions with both Marriott and Outrigger hotels.
PATSY NARIMATSU has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for Outrigger Beachfront Properties, the position vacated by Roy Cordeiro. Ms Narimatsu is no stranger to Outrigger. From February 1998 to October 1999 she was part of the Outrigger sales team while based at the then Outrigger Prince Kuhio Hotel.
ELIZABETH POWELL has been appointed General Manager of travel technology company, Global BedBank. Ms Powell has extensive experience in travel technology and hospitality in Australia, Asia, Hawaii and North America, most recently leading the development of hotel partnerships in US-gaming centers.
PRATEEK KUMAR has been appointed General Manager of the newly-renovated Dusit Thani Manila. With a BA in Hotel Management from Griffith University in Australia, Kumar most recently headed the pre-opening team of the Ascott Raffles Place, Singapore. He has also worked for Raffles Group, Starwood and Renaissance Group.
