EDWARD JUSUF has been appointed Amadeus’ new General Manager for Indonesia. Based in Jakarta and with more than a decade of industry experience, Jusuf will be tasked with expanding Amadeus’ business in the country. Prior to joining Amadeus, Jusuf has held various senior management positions at Travelex, Rosenbluth International, FCm Travel Solutions, Carlson Wagonlit and Thomas Cook.
MARIO MARTINI has been announced as the new President of Iberocruceros - one of Costa’s major cruise brands. Martini has been promoted from his previous role as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing Europe and New Markets for the Costa Cruises fleet.
SPRING YANG has been appointed as the new Director of Sales of the Grand Park Hotel Kunming. With 16 years of experience in the hospitality and sales industry, Yang has previously worked in various international hotels including Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa, Crown Plaza North Beijing, Shangri-La Qingdao and Shangri-La Shenzhen.
CRAIG BONNOR has been appointed Director of Business Development of the Conrad Bangkok. Australian national Bonnor has served with Hilton for 13 years in Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. He arrives from the same position at the Hilton Millennium Bangkok.
PHATSALAWATDEE GLEW has joined Travel Daily Asia as Sales Executive. Pook, as she more easily known, will be responsible for brand and recruitment sales for TDA. Prior to joining TDA Pook was Public Relations Manager at the Bed Supper Club, Bangkok.
JAYSON WESTBURY has been announced as the new Chief Executive of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA). Incumbent head, Mike Hatton, will retire from his role on 31 December. In recognition of his services to the federations, Hatton has been granted life membership of AFTA.
RAJINDER RAI has become the new President of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Anil Mathur has reported. Rai succeeds outgoing President, CV Prasad.
SUNDER VENKAT has been announced as the new Director of Sales - India, for Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. Venkat has accumulated nearly 30 years of aviation business experience, operating out of the United States, and has served India-based airline customers since 1989.
BARRY WHITE has been appointed the new Director of Spa Operations with Langham International. White will oversee the global operations quality of Chuan Spa - the group’s wellness brand. He will also be part of the team that leads the spa development of forthcoming properties, including Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport, due to open in 2009. White was most recently Chuan Spa Director at Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong.
