KHALID SALIM SAEEDSALIM BARDAN has been announced as Emirates Airline’s new Area Manager for Thailand and Indochina.Bardan has been employed with Emirates since 2005 when he took the roleof Commercial Manager. He has held several management positions since, and was mostrecently Area Manager for the Ivory Coast.
MAZY CHENG hasbeen announced as the new Director of Human Resources at the
InterContinentalGrand Stanford, Hong Kong. With over 15 yearsHR experience, Ms Cheng began her service at InterContinental Grand Stanford asan Assistant Personnel Manager in 2005 and quickly advanced to become HumanResources Manager.

DECHA MINGKWANhas taken on the role of Chef de Cuisine at the Indigo Pearl, Phuket. TheHolder of Diploma in French Cuisine, Mingkwan has worked in kitchens across theworld, including Japan, India and the US. Before joining Indigo Pearl, heworked in Zuiderterras Restaurant and Brasserie Appelmans Belgium.

With more than 25years’ experience in the travel industry, Flinthas been employed with FCm’s parent company, FlightCentre Limited (FCL), for 18 years. Most recently he was Executive General Managerfor FCL Australia’s operations in Victoria andTasmania.
MAGDI SELIM hastaken over as Director of the Egypt Tourism Authority (ETA) in India.Selim, who succeeds Samy Mahmoud has been with ETA since 1984 having gainedexperienced in media, marketing, tourism counseling and research.
JULIAN VAN DENBOGAERDE has been appointed Regional Vice President, China, for Swissotel Hotels andResorts. Van den Bogaerde will continue in his current role of General Managerat the Swissotel Grand Shanghai, prior to which he worked in senior positionfor Swissotel in Turkey, Thailand, the Netherlands,and at the company’s head office in Zurich, Switzerland.
