Star Cruises has announced the deployment of its SuperStar Aquarius to homeport in Taiwan beginning in April. The liner has undergone a month-long, US$1.6 million refurbishment in Hong Kong, as part of the ongoing fleet refurbishment investment.
The SuperStar Aquarius arrived in Kaohsiung on 6 April, hosting 80 underprivileged youths from six social welfare organisations in the country, for a ship tour, dinner and entertainment.
The liner will undertake a series of three- and four-night cruises to Naha and Ishigaki, as well as a two-night itinerary to Hualien, on Taiwan’s eastern coast. A one-night getaway on the high seas is also available.
The 1,530-passenger SuperStar Aquarius now includes a ‘dine & play’ area, with a new wine and cigar Lagoon Bar, while the Dynasty Chinese restaurant features a newly-installed wine cabinet centerpiece. A new 18-hole mini golf facility has also been installed, alongside the ship’s newly-refurbished driving range.
