Starwood has launched a new loyalty programme partnership with its Indian partner, ITC.
Under the new tie-up, Club ITC members who enrol in the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) programme will be able to transfer their Club ITC Green Points to Starpoints, with a limit of 30,000 Starpoints annually.
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in India through the Club ITC and SPG collaboration. This partnership will strengthen both programme propositions and deliver added benefits to our loyal guests,” stated Dipak Haksar, chief executive of ITC Hotels & WelcomHotels.
Dilip Puri, Starwood’s managing director for India, added that the new alliance opens “a world of new possibilities” and will offer “an array of privileges to our respective loyalty members”.
The SPG members residing in India will also be offered new redemption options, including the Wills Lifestyle fashion brand and dining certificates at ITC Hotels.
This partnership follows the recent agreement between Starwood and ITC to extend their cooperation in India. The two companies currently cooperate on 12 ITC hotels under the Luxury Collection and Sheraton brands in the country. And three new hotels will be added to this partnership over the next four years, all under the Luxury Collection brand.
