Starwood Hotels to open Sheraton Dushanbe Hotel in early 2013

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc signed an agreement with CJSC CHL International, to open a Sheraton Hotel in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Scheduled to open in early 2013, the Sheraton Dushanbe Hotel marks the entrance of Starwood in to Central Asia. The opening of this hotel is part of the company’s global strategic expansion plan that includes adding more than 60 new hotels to the Sheraton portfolio over the next three years.
Roeland Vos, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East said: “We see great potential for the Sheraton brand to set new milestones in Tajikistan’s hospitality market and assist in further supporting the country as a destination for international travellers.”
The new-build Sheraton Hotel will comprise 148 guest rooms and 13 suites including 10 deluxe suites, two executive suites, a 550 square-metre Presidential Suite, two restaurants, a café, a lounge and a bar.
All guest rooms will feature the brand’s signature all-white Sheraton Sweet Sleeper® Bed. The hotel will also feature a Health Club offering an array of wellness treatments, an indoor pool and Sheraton Fitness programmed by Core Performance.
