Starwood launches global trade campaign

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched a new campaign to educate the travel trade on its resorts. The course, named ‘Reveal a World of Possibilities’, begins this week with a six-minute video focusing on the hotel chain’s portfolio, which includes 200 properties. Once it is completed, agents will be given 10 $25 resort credit certificates to give to customers. These will be personalised to the agency and can be used on bookings made by GDS, call centre, online or tour operators for travel from 1 September 2011 to 31 March 2012. “By participating in this exciting, new learning burst, travel professionals will not only learn more about our resorts, but also be able to surprise and delight their customers with a special resort credit for their next vacation,” said Chris Austin, vice president, global retail leisure and luxury sales for Starwood. The video will be online until 8 August.
