Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched a new Westin resort in eastern China’s Zhejiang province.
Overlooking the East China Sea, the Westin Zhujiajian Resort marks the brand’s debut in the city of Zhoushan.
The beach resort features 263 rooms and villas, three restaurants, a lounge, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness centre, spa and kids’ club. There is also more than 3,400m² of event space, covering nine meeting rooms and a large pre-function area.
“We are delighted to introduce the Westin brand to Zhoushan, one of the most scenic cities in the Yangtze River Delta area of China,” said Gordon Xiong, managing director of the Westin Zhujiajian Resort and Sheraton Zhoushan Hotel.
“The entry of Westin in this market is timely, as Zhoushan continues to see a rise in corporate and leisure travel as a result of recent infrastructure development.”
Starwood now operates 19 Westin hotels in China with a further eight in the pipeline.
