The Australian State of Victoria will further boost relations with UAE and wider Middle East region through a week-long series of events and celebrations in Dubai. The State Government of Victoria has announced ‘Victoria Week’, focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Victoria and the region by highlighting significant links across business, trade, investment, tourism and sport.
“The week has been planned to emphasise many opportunities that exist across a range of industries,” said John Butler, Commissioner to the Middle East and North Africa for the State Government of Victoria. “We are hoping to make this an annual event which will help to further underline the growing connection between Victoria and this region.”
The week will kick-start with an official launch in Dubai at Atlantis, The Palm, which will be attended by celebrity chef and Masterchef Australia judge George Calombaris.
A number of Victorian companies representing the food and beverage industry will also be travelling to the region to capitalize on fast-developing opportunities.
