StayWell Hospitality Group has signing an agreement with Travel Tripper, the hotel technology company, to adopt its booking engine and central reservation system.
The new agreement will see Australia-based StayWell integrate Travel Tripper’s technology into its recently revamped website, staywellgroup.com, and its 30 properties in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
The company said the new system would help drive more direct bookings.
“StayWell will be better able to provide targeted special offers to our clientele from various different countries. We have also made it easier for travellers to convert rates into their home currency and display deals in multiple languages, including Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese,” said Fiona Godfrey, StayWell’s group director of global sales & marketing.
“Moving over to the Travel Tripper platform will give StayWell an even greater edge against our competitors.”
The partnership with Travel Tripper marks the latest phase in a major AU$1 million (US$705,000) technology investment for StayWell, which has also included the roll-out of free in-room Wi-Fi at all its properties.
In addition, StayWell has also formed a partnership with Intouch Data Pty Ltd, an Australian IT company that provides customised data applications for the hotel industry.
“We are planning to implement more new technology to improve guest comfort and their access to instant information progressively over the next 12 months,” Ms Godfrey added.
