The Steigenberger Hotel Group is set to open two new hotels in Egypt. Both hotels will cater to both leisure and business travellers.
Come July 2016, Hotel Tahrir Square in Cairo will operate under the Steigenberger name. The existing Cecil Hotel in Alexandria will be taken over immediately. This latest expansion means that number of Steigenberger establishments will increase to seven, plus three luxury Nile ships.
Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG said: “Following signing of management agreements for projects in China, Doha and Dubai, the two major cities of Egypt are an addition to our portfolio of hotels at attractive locations.”
The Steigenberger Hotel Tahrir Square will offer 295 rooms including 12 suites as well as five conference rooms and a banquet hall. The Steigenberger Cecil Hotel is an existing property that will offer 86 rooms include three à la carte restaurants, three bars, meeting rooms and a gym.
