A rare Sumatran tiger has given birth to four cubs at a zoo in western Indonesia. The Jakarta Post reported that the three of the cubs born at Taman Rimbo Zoo, in Jambi province, survived, but one sadly died. Sumatran tigers are on the brink of extinction, with less than 500 of the big cats thought to remain in the wild.
