Summer’s up for Preferred

Forward bookings for the summer period have improved in this year’s first quarter compared to the same period last year, it has announced.
The independent hotel collection added 22 new hotels in the first quarter with sales through its distribution channels up 24%. June bookings are already 20% ahead of last year.
“Preferred had a strong first quarter. We are pleased to see new member growth across all our brands and our continued expansion into key new markets,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, president of Preferred Hotel Group. “Looking ahead, our reservations data is showing signs that summer travel is off to a great start”.
New members to the group this year include The Little Nell, Colorado; and Baa Atoll, Maldives to Preferred Boutique, while the Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto joined the Preferred Hotels & Resorts group. Other new members are La Mision Hotel Boutique, Paraguay; Dusit Thani Maldives; The Alex, New York; The Seven Hotel, Paris and The Toy Hotel, Chandigarh.
