Survey identifies key influencers on 2015 corporate travel

Data security and mobile technology will have the highest impact on corporate travel programmes in 2015, according to Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT)’s annual travel manager survey.
More than 1,000 respondents with a global remit think big data, the global economy and IATA’s New Distribution Capability are areas that will have a high impact on their global travel programmes.
In a regional comparison meanwhile, travel managers have identified some unique issues which they believe will affect their business in the next 12 months.
Travel managers in EMEA selected corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a significant trend compared with other regions. Mobile technology is a key determinant on travel programmes in North America meanwhile, and Asia Pacific travel managers expect low cost air travel to have a high impact on their business.
Travel managers are able to benchmark what they expect to be next year’s trends against the expectations of their peers, through a new interactive website.
CWT’s annual travel manager survey was conducted with business travel and M&E professionals worldwide across a range of industries, including Energy, Resources & Marine and US Military & Government. CWT received a total of 1,113 responses, comprising 515 companies in 56 countries.
