Swiss Air, Germanwings and Austrian Airlines best for ski carriage

Swiss Air, Germanwings, and Austrian Airlines have been rated as the best choice airlines for ski holidays. According to Cheapflights.co.uk, the three airlines come out top for flying ski equipment for free. In its latest tips on the cost of carrying skis on flights, Cheapflights.co.uk reviewed 13 of the world’s top airlines including both budget and flagship carriers, and the costs for carrying ski equipment onboard. “Most airlines will unfortunately charge for carrying ski equipment onboard, so the rare perk of carrying skis at no extra cost could quite possibly dictate travellers’ choice of destination,” said Nadine Hallak, travel expert for Cheapflights.co.uk. “Given that these three airlines are carriers for some of the world’s biggest ski destinations, it’s no surprise that they’re highly accommodating when it comes to ski equipment.” Ryanair weighed in as the most expensive of the budget airlines charging
