Swiss-Belhotel cares for KL

Swiss-Belhotel International has launched a new environmental designed to improve the sustainability of its property in Kuala Lumpur.
The new ‘Caring for KL’ programme has been rolled out at the Wedgewood Residences by Swiss-Belhotel in KL, and will see a series of initiatives designed to reduce waste at the hotel.
Organic waste and perishable items will be separated from general waste on-site before being sent to the hotel’s gardens for composting. In turn, this is expected to boost production at the at the hotel’s vegetable and herb gardens.
In addition, paper, plastic and glass waste will be sold to recycling companies, with all proceeds being used to fund staff activities.
“Sustainability is becoming an ever greater priority for travellers and hotel guests, and it is our belief that the future growth of Asia’s hospitality industry is in environmentally-friendly tourism,” said Jerina Foong GM of the Wedgewood Residences.
“Swiss-Belhotel International aims to be a central figure in that growth, which is why we are proud to be leading the way with initiatives such as the ‘Caring for KL’ programme.”
Wedgewood Residences by Swiss-Belhotel features 118 serviced residences in KL’s Mont Kiara district.
