Swiss-Belhotel International has announced its continued expansion in Indonesia, with the opening of three new properties in Medan, Bintan and Jakarta.
From next month, the Hong Kong-based hotel management company will take over the running of Swiss-Belinn Medan – a 175-room, eight-storey hotel located 1km from the centre of the Sumatran city, and 5km from Medan’s Polonia International Airport.
Swiss-Belhotel has also signed an agreement to launch its first resort on the island of Bintan. The 196-room condotel is due to be completed in late 2013, and will offer a range of facilities including a rooftop swimming pool. The property will be located on a one hectare site 100 metres from the beach.
Finally the company has signed a management agreement for a new-built property in Jakarta. The four-star Swiss-Belhotel Kelapa Gading will form part of a mixed-use development on Jalan Boulevard Raya. It will feature 305 rooms, a swimming pool and extensive conference facilities including a ballroom.
“This is another exciting new property to add to our growing number of hotels in Jakarta and Swiss-Belhotel International is proud to have been appointed as property manager,” commented Mr. Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International.
