Swiss-Garden International has launched its Swiss-Inn brand in Kuala Lumpur.
The new property, which officially opened its doors on 19 September, is located in the Chinatown area of the Malaysian capital and is designed as a modern midscale hotel. The 151 rooms feature iPod docking stations, LCD televisions and Wi-Fi, while other facilities include the Café Petaling restaurant.
Andrew Wong, President of Swiss-Garden International, said the new hotel formed part of the group’s “marketing and repositioning strategy to grow the new brand amidst a growing global mid-market segment”.
“[Swiss-Inn] is relevant, incorporates a modern twist and most importantly it is tailored to meet the hospitality trends of a new generation of hip travellers,” said Wong.
Swiss-Garden International now operates 12 properties in Malaysia and Australia, with a total inventory of 2,500 rooms. It expects to expand this in next three years with the launch of new properties in Melaka, Cameron Highlands, Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan and Kota Bharu.
