SWISS to connect Singapore and Zurich
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will launch a new service between Singapore and Zurich next May, providing daily non-stop flights to Switzerland’s biggest city.
The new route will be operated using Airbus A340-300 aircraft offering 219 seats. The westbound LX 179 flight will depart from Singapore at 23:05 and arrive in Zurich at 06:10 the following day. The eastbound LX 178 service will leave Zurich at 22:45 and touch down in Singapore at 17:10 the next day.
“Singapore is one of Switzerland’s most important intercontinental markets, and one that has seen constant growth over the past few years,” says Magdalene Ong, SWISS’s Country Manager Singapore.
“By providing our new daily service to Singapore, we aim to meet this substantial demand. Our new non-stop flights between two of the leading business and financial centres in Europe and Southeast Asia will ideally complement the existing services offered by our Star Alliance partners.”
