Swissôtel launches fitness programme
Swissôtel has launched a new health and fitness programme for guests at all of its global hotels.
Following the launch of the company’s new Pürovel Spa & Sport brand last year, Swissôtel has unveiled its new Vitality Programme – a range of activities that guests can do either in their room, in the gym or outdoors.
One aspect of the programme, which is being implemented over the course of 2012, will enable guests to order gym equipment to their room. The company will also offer a range of jogging maps, showing a variety of planned routes of various distances. In addition, each hotel will offer a weekly activity programme, including such as guided walks or jogging tours.
The hotel chain’s cuisine will also become healthier, with a greater range of light dishes supplemented by fresh fruit, low-fat products and organically-grown coffee. This will also be reflected in the F&B offerings at conferences and meetings.
“As we all know, a healthy mind needs a healthy body, so we have not forgotten mental fitness in our Vitality Programme,” said Lilian Roten, Swissôtel’s Vice President of Operations. “Chess contests, Scrabble tournaments, Monopoly games and backgammon evenings will offer guests an opportunity to interact and relax in their spare time.”
The Swissôtel Vitality Programme starts with a week-long campaign from 21 March 2012, with a range of activities including aerobics classes in hotel lobbies and ‘Vertical Challenges’, taking guests to each floor of Swissôtel’s multi-storey buildings.
