Swissotel to manage India hotel

Swissotel Hotels and Resorts is entering India through a management contract with the Ambuja Group, which is setting up a 147-room hotel at Rajarhat, near Kolkata, Anil Mathur reports. The hotel is being set up with a INR1 billion (US$20.8 million) investment, will be located on top of a mall being constructed in Rajarhat, according to Ambuja’s Chairman, Harshvardhan Neotia. Swissotel also plans to launch at least two more hotels in Indian cities in the next year.
