Sydney and London join THAI’s A380 network
Thai Airways International (THAI) will launch Airbus A380 flights to Sydney and London next year.
The new superjumbo will be flown daily to the Australian city from 16 September 2013, becoming the airline’s fourth new A380 route launch of the year.
Speaking to Travel Daily, THAI’s Exec Vice President of Technical Montree Jumrieng said London will be added to the network in October after the fifth aircraft is delivered.
Daily flights to Tokyo, Paris and Osaka will commence in January, February and August 2013 respectively.
THAI will receive its first A380 in a delivery ceremony in Toulouse tomorrow (Thursday 27 September) and has six of the double-decker aircraft on order.
The first aircraft will initially fly to Singapore and Hong Kong on a temporary basis until mid-December, before being deployed on the Bangkok-Frankfurt route.
