A highland lake in the mountains of eastern Taiwan has shrunk to about half its size since winter due to low rainfall, according to a Taiwan News report. Jiaming Lake was about 120m long, 80m wide and 35m deep early last year, but has since shrunk to a diameter of 75m approximately half its normal volume.
